IWMD 2023 Liverpool Event Put A Human Face To Deaths From Work Figures

Statistics are one thing which by themselves can shock, but nothing like the devastation to families and loved ones of someone leaving home for work; but then never returning home!

The death through work figures produced by the HSE are woeful in their lack of reality. They do not cover the full extent of the death toll of people killed by work in the UK.

On International Worker's Memorial Day on 28th April, Emma Whitby spoke of her experience of the death of her husband whilst driving for work, the lack of any concern or empathy from his employer; and the devastation caused to her life and those of her family.
